An ‘about us’ section is one of the most challenging portions to write when you build a website or a blog. It's really similar to writing a recommendation letter for yourself or a bio for a dating app. But we’re going to give it a go nevertheless!

‘Bricolage’ is run by two of us, Sreeram Premkumar and Shreya Shankar. We are both migrants from India, living in Europe. We’ve been together for two years and have had so many adventures during this time. We love the whole package of travelling, especially to places that are not often visited by tourists; the planning, budgeting, understanding and reading about the history, politics, society, culture and economy of the place that we travel to, acting as our own tour guides, interacting with the local culture in respectful way, and enjoying the natural environment.

We both are also vegans, so travelling as well as many other facets of our life comes with the need to be thoughtful about how and where we eat. We’ve visited some of the most remote areas in Europe and successfully navigated the availability versus the sampling of local delicacies conundrum. The only step we haven’t spent time on so far, is sharing our experience with others, and we decided to use this space to complete our travel experience. Read on for a little bit more about both of us, we’ve written each other’s descriptions to sidestep the discomfort of writing about ourselves!
