Croatia has always been my dream location, and I have been planning a trip there for years. We went to Croatia in the peak of summer to enjoy the beaches comfortably. However, this trip was far from the relaxing and comfortable trip we had wanted. During the summer, Croatia is ridiculously crowded, suffering from an epidemic of overtourism. It was too hot for us to go through our packed itineraries. 

 

If you choose to visit Croatia, we recommend staying in the shoulder months instead of the peak of summer. If you do see them in summer, these spots maybe some of the only slightly less crowded spots available on the coast of Croatia.
